Social Studies Project!

Here is a copy of the assignment given to students this week. It is a at home research project on Revolutionary Americans. The students are tasked with researching their American, and their contributions to American Independence. The students chose their person yesterday and were given a research template along with the assignment and grading rubric. Projects are due February 12th and 13th, right before February vacation.

Famous Revolutionary Americans Research Project:

Task: Your job is to research and report to the class the contributions your revolutionary American made to American Independence. It can be anything from helping to declare Independence from Great Britain, to fighting in one of the many battles of the American Revolution.  The exciting part of this project is you can present your research in any way you would like.

Step One: In class you will be given a research template that you will need to complete on your American. This will help you focus your research.

Step Two: You need to present your research to the class in a creative way. It can be through a poster board, power point/keynote, IMovie, Play, Song, Video, etc. Your presentation must be 5 minutes long.

You will present your project on Thursday and Friday February 12th and 13th. The Revolutionary American you will research will be picked by random selection in class.

You will be graded on your research, presentation, effort and creativity using the rubric on the back side of this assignment.
